Drug Possession and Supply
Drugs can have a devastating social impact on community life and on those who are dependent on them. It can lead to anti-social behaviour, violence, safeguarding concerns, and other crime.
Community intelligence is invaluable to the Police, and without it would limit the ability to gain drug warrants and target offenders. Information from the public helps to prevent and detect crime, whilst ensuring the safeguarding and protection of our community. You may think that the information you hold will not be useful but it may be the final missing piece to the puzzle. If you suspect illegal activity in your area please report it via 101 online or by phone. Alternatively, you can report information anonymously to CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.

ASB - anti social behaviour to include anti social driving
Whilst anti-social behaviour will still be targeted within the town, the main Anti-Social focus for the next period will be on ASB Driving. This will include vehicles being driven without insurance and/or a valid driving licence, vehicle theft, unroadworthy vehicles, and drink and drug driving. Antisocial driving such as speeding, revving, loud music and large car meets also meets this criteria. This will include conducting speed checks in identified hotspot areas, supporting and expanding Community Speed Watch Activity, address vehicle related ASB through engagement and enforcement, and promoting road safety awareness.
Issued: 1 May 2026
Status Update
We have noticed an increase in ASB reports involving children access derelict buildings across the town. Officers have attended on each occasion these have been reported and dealt with those at the scene. We are also in consultation with the school in relation to these children in order to identify the people we have as yet been unable to identify.
A Hotspot area has been put in place in the town based off of the data members of the public and log locations have identified as being of a higher risk. Where available, These areas are patrolled at key times by Honiton NPT and their response colleagues.
With the lighter evenings and drier days, we are also noticing an increase in ASB driving through the town, some even revving and speeding past the police station! We are working with partner agencies to tackle this issue and request members of the public report vehicles being driven in such a manner, along with their VRMs.
